We're situated in the beautiful village of Appley Bridge near Wigan. The salon is well-known for its friendly and laid back atmosphere. Our customers see the salon as a home from home.

 Our story.

2004

Sahara Sun was conceived by Sharon, when our doors were first opened as a tanning salon. Chloé helped her mum (Sharon) out on weekends. 

2005

Sharon expanded and was soon providing a range of beauty treatments and services to a growing, loyal client base.

2008

Chloé headed to university 

2009

 Kate joined the team 

2011

Sharon was diagnosed with breast cancer at the young age of 45. Chloé graduated from university, but put her career plans on hold to run the salon in Sharon's absence. 

2013

After a brave battle, Sharon returned to the salon to allow Chloé to pursue a "career", but Chloé had found her vocation and decided to continue her work in the beauty industry. 

2014

Sahara Sun celebrated it's 10th birthday

Chloé took the reigns, Sharon took a back seat, but still enjoys working part-time in the salon.
